Set a verified goal
Choose your exam and record the required overall and section scores from your recipient’s official page. Also record the test version, profession if relevant, and application deadline. Use our requirements guides to find the source, then confirm it yourself before making the booking.
Week 1: establish a baseline
Complete a timed section or a manageable set of unseen tasks. Keep your first attempts rather than rewriting them before review. Note unanswered questions, timing pressure, unclear responses, and repeated mistakes. This baseline helps you choose a specific skill to improve.
For recorded Speaking, use a quiet space and listen back once. If words are missing from a transcript, check the recording before assuming the problem was grammar. Follow the assessment limitations displayed with the feedback.
Weeks 2 and 3: practice one change at a time
Use a simple cycle: attempt, review, identify one change, retry, then test that change on a fresh task. A Writing change might be addressing a missing instruction. A Speaking change might be giving a concrete example earlier. A Reading change might be finding the exact supporting sentence before choosing an answer.
Try four short sessions each week. Reserve one for your strongest skill so it stays consistent, and use the others for the largest section gap. This is a suggested routine, not a promised time to achieve a score.
Week 4: check transfer under time pressure
Return to an unseen timed section. Compare your mistake pattern with the baseline: fewer task omissions, clearer organization, and steadier timing are useful signals. If the same problem remains, extend the practice block rather than treating the calendar as proof of readiness.
Use official provider materials alongside original practice tasks to understand the real exam. Application evidence comes from an accepted official result, not from completing a study schedule.
Questions & answers
Can this plan guarantee a score in four weeks?
No. It is a repeatable practice structure. Your starting level, available time, and target determine the work needed.
Should I repeat the same prompt until the score rises?
A retry helps correct a specific problem. Then use a fresh prompt to check whether the skill transfers beyond that answer.
What if I only need one section to improve?
Prioritize that section while maintaining the others with shorter practice. Confirm whether your recipient permits any retake or result-combining option.
